About Me

 Hi! I'm Carol!

I live on a farm in rural Ohio. My husband and I have two amazing daughters, a wonderful son-in-law, and a precious grandson. 

My husband and I have  been involved in youth ministry for over twenty-five years and currently serve at a small country church, which inspired my first novel, Under the Shadow of a Steeple. I have  also published several other Christian suspense novels and a short children's book. I am a graduated homeschool mom and continue to teach homeschool students through co-ops and workshops.

Along with my fiction, I am also published in several nonfiction venue and have created a homeschool writing curriculum called Creative Writing Through Literature.

I am the co-founder of the Writing Family and speak on developing the writer in yourself and your child.I have a passion for writing exciting Christ-centered fiction that uplifts, encourages, and gives glory to God.

Good writers are good readers. Good readers come from reading good books. When children enjoy their reading, they become more passionate readers. Creative Writing Through Literature is a comprehensive homeschool writing curriculum designed to help your child become a better reader and a better writer by introducing them to good books and giving them opportunities to develop creative writing skills. 

Incorporating scripture and writing techniques within the curriculum, students will learn to read objectively, while strengthening their writing skills creatively. 

Creative Writing Through Literature can be used from middle school through high school. This curriculum offers individual assignments designed to challenge your child at any grade. 

Creative Writing Through Literature Adventures in Non-fiction is an upper level high school curriculum.

Creative Writing Through Literature Adventures in Novel Writing - students will explore literature and learn to adapt new skills to write their own short story.

Creative Writing Through Literature Under the Shadow of a Steeple is an early high school or advanced middle school curriculum that explore literature and writing concepts. 

Reading and Writing with Worms is for 5th - 8th graders who need for writing and reading to be more fun!  Developed for the reluctant reader or writer, this curriculum combines hands on experiences with writing and reading.
